A U.S. pet food manufacturer needed industrial capacity for a beef and chicken freeze-dried formula. We configured an INNOTECH FD-60 system around its product, loading plan and target cycle.
Raw material is frozen in cold storage at around −18 °C before it enters the freeze dryer.
An industrial refrigeration unit drives the condenser that captures the water vapour.
Vacuum pumps hold the chamber at the low pressure needed for sublimation.
Shelf heating uses steam, the usual choice for systems above about 30 m².
PLC control with recorded process parameters; Siemens PLC configuration is available.

Cycle time follows the product, not the machine. Piece size, starting moisture and the temperature the product can tolerate during sublimation all set the pace. A faster cycle raises throughput; a gentler one protects the shape and colour of the pieces. For this formula the balance settled at roughly 20 to 24 hours per batch.
Frames from a video the customer sent after installation, showing the product before and after drying and the system in its production environment.

Send your formula, batch size and daily target. An engineer will size the system and quote.
